We must never do something according to our desire but let the spirit of the Lord will give direction in our way, in time of trial we must hold firmly according to the faith that we have. We must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus christ. All of us on the remaining time is marching to the perilous climax in the future, both the sinner and the good man marching together like a fish in the ocean swimming in one direction to the mouth of fishing net. What will happen to the good people or the people of God? In II Peter 2: 9 says.. “The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.”We will have a better understanding in looking beyond the ancient world where God did not spare the earth through bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. But saved Noah, one of the eight people who survived in a great flood. before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah Abraham raised a question before God regarding the good people living in the city if he will destroy them together with the sinner, and God answer that he will not destroy the good people. If you have a Holy bible, try to read in GENESIS 18: 20-33 as follows: “And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me and if not, I will know. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes. Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake. And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there. And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake. And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake. And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.”Another great example was found in Jonas 1: 1-17 where God give an order to Jonas to preached against the great city at Nineveh since their evil deeds was reaching in the front of God, but Jonas refused to follow the order of God and scape to Tarshish. While in the sea, the pernicious wind blew to their boats and it was nearly to destroy. Then all the passenger in the boats was panic except Jonas, since he was deeply asleep. Many people boarded in the boat pray to the Lord to scape the catastrophe until they found out that Jonas is responsible in the tempest of weather and decided to cast him into the sea, then the typhoon disappeared.
Perhaps we will ask in God right now why the people in the near future will suffer of great catastrophe. Base on our example that we had cited in the Bible, it might be clear where catastrophe is intended to the unjust or to the people who will reject the laws of God, we have enough time to evaluate our self either our faith is still working according to the grace of God. Today… we must begin together in searching to find out what is acceptable to the lord, because the great destruction in the near future is never found in the hand of God. We the people in this world and to the living in the outside world is the carrier of great destruction due to our evil deed, our only hope is to sanctify our self to cast away the mass destruction.
